Karnataka assembly election results: BJP gets majority, Congress loses another state

After leading the race during counting for Karnataka assembly election, the Bharatiya Janata party (BJP) has reached the majority mark of 113. BJP’s chief ministerial candidate and Lingayat strongman B S Yeddyurappa is leading by over 21,000 votes in Shikaripura. Other senior BJP leaders are also leading in their respective constituencies. KS Eshwarappa is leading in Shivamogga by a healthy margin of over 19,000 votes, while K S Eshwarappa is leading in Shivamogga by around 19,000 votes. The win in Karnataka will give a major boost to BJP ahead of 2019 Lok Sabha election.
