Hosakote Constituency Election Results: Assembly seat details, MLAs, candidates & more

Hosakote is one of the 224 constituencies in Karnataka which goes to polls on May 10. The assembly constituency is part of Chikballapur Lok Sabha seat.

In the 2018 assembly elections, Indian National Congress (INC) leader MTB Nagaraju won from Hosakote seat by defeating Bharatiya Janata Party's (BJP) Sharath Kumar Bache Gowda.

In 2013 as well, Nagaraju emerged victorious from the assembly constituency as a Congress candidate.

In 2008, BN Bache Gowda had won from the seat as a saffron party candidate against Nagaraju.

Hosakote assembly constituency recorded a voter turnout of 90.33 per cent in 2018.

In the 2018 assembly elections, BJP had won 104 out of 223 seats that the party had contested. The Congress and JD(S) together won 117 seats in 2018.

Assembly elections in Karnataka will be held in a single phase on May 10 and the results will be declared on May 13. For the elections, 58,282 polling stations will be set up in the state.

There are a total of 5.21 crore voters in Karnataka and the number of 100+ voters is 16,976.

The term of the 224-member Karnataka assembly ends on May 24.
