Tamizhaga Vazhvurimai Katchi (TVK) leader and former strongman of the PMK T Velmurugan on Sunday said he was withdrawing his party's support to the ruling AIADMK in the upcoming assembly elections. The decision was taken since no proper consideration has been given to TVK by AIADMK supremo Jayalalithaa regarding constituencies and symbol.

“We haven't got the constituencies that we asked for. Worse, we were asked to contest on AIADMK symbol. The future course of action will be decided in the generatal body meeting of the party , to be held at Neyvali on 12, April.

Velmurugan said even though he maintained a good relationship with Amma and felt she was capable of taking a lot of good decisions as chief minister, he could go only by what his party decided. “I don't know why Amma is behaving like this. She was always very supportive,“ he said.
