Jayalalithaa rebuffs Karunanidhi, says many schemes implemented

Reiterating her position that several of her announcements under Rule 110 of Tamil Nadu Legislative Act were being implemented contrary to DMK’s allegations, chief minister J Jayalalithaa issued a second rebuttal on Tuesday listing out projects implemented in labour welfare, revenue and information technology departments.
Jayalalithaa said as many as 18 announcements she made on the floor of the assembly pertaining to the IT department were taken up for implementation.“A detailed project report has been prepared to constitute Tamil Nadu Fibernet Corporation and sent to the Centre for approval,’’ she said.
She said a Scheme Monitoring Application Software to keep track of government services and expedite them has been developed. This apart, 1,100 households have been given broadband connection through Arasu cable TV Corporation in the first phase.
She also listed out similar projects implemented under labour welfare department.
