AIADMK swaps Vellore seat with minor ally

In a statement, AIADMK supremo Jayalalithaa said the party is withdrawing its candidate named for Vellore and instead announced K Kittusamy as its nominee from Oddanchathiram. Jayalalithaa had earlier named former MLA P Neelakandan for the Vellore seat.

In a statement, AIADMK supremo Jayalalithaa said the party is withdrawing its candidate named for Vellore and instead announced K Kittusamy as its nominee from Oddanchathiram. Jayalalithaa had earlier named former MLA P Neelakandan for the Vellore seat.
CHENNAI: AIADMK on Thursday swapped the Vellore assembly seat with its ally Manithaneya Jananayaga Katchi (MJK) for the Tamil Nadu polls to be held on May 16.
MJK was originally given Oddanchathiram seat.
