Chennai: The residents' welfare associations of T Nagar, West Mambalam, CIT Nagar, Ashok Nagar, Vadapalani and Kodambakkam and along with Exnora members will submit a list of demands to candidates contesting in their assembly constituency, following a meeting they held on Saturday.
T Nagar has sought multi-level parking facilities and foot over-bridges or subways in at least four places and removal of hawkers and eatery vendors.
They have sought a connection between the two flyovers on Usman road. The commercial district also seeks a circular route for buses starting from T Nagar bus terminus covering Burkit Road, Pondy Bazaar, G N Chetty Road, Usman Road and back to the terminus.
In CIT Nagar, residents want the fish market to be regulated and made hygienic, and fish wastes to be treated. Vadapalani residents want their sewerage line to be connected to the Nesapakkam Pumping Station in to avoid blocks and over-flowing.
