Mobile voter's facilitation centre opens

Trichy: District election officers will be reaching out to voters at their door steps to address their queries related to voter's identity card and voters list. The district election officer flagged off a 'mobile voter's facilitation centre' van that will be used for the purpose across the district.
There are 21 mobile facilitation centre in the district, including all the four zones of the city corporation.The mobile van is an additional facility aiming at reaching out to voters at their door step to ensure 100% polling this assembly election.
Services related to addition, deletion and correction of name in the voters list, besides change in address can be made free of cost can be availed at the mobile facility. Voters can also apply for color voter's identity card by paying Rs 25.
The vehicle will be touring Srirangam zone on 5, 9, 14 19, 23, 28 of April and 3and 7of May. Voters in Ariyamangalam zone can get their queries addressed on March 31, April 4, 8, 13, 18, 22 and 27, May 2 and 6 when the mobile van reaches in the zone.
On April 1, 6, 11, 15 20, 25 and 29, May 4 and 9, the mobile van will be touring Ponmalai zone. Residents of K Abhishekapuram can avail the mobile facility in their locality on April 2, 7, 12, 16, 21, 26 and 30 apart from May 5 and 10. Further, residents can call 74027 11173 to know the location of the van.
District election officer K S Palanisamy has urged voters to utilize the opportunity to make relevant changed in their voter's id and voter's list to ensure that they exercise their democratic right.
