DMK cadres seek for advance bail

Madurai: Apprehending arrest by the Pallathur police, DMK candidate of Tiruppattur constituency in Sivaganga district and former minister K R Periyakaruppan and 11 others, including his son, have knocked on the doors of the Madurai bench of the Madras high court seeking advance bail.

Last Friday, while campaigning in the election, they allegedly pelted stones at members of the AIADMK. Following this, the police registered a case against for indulging in violence.

But they were not arrested as the candidate was faced the election on Monday.
