Kerala elections 2016: 249 more candidates file nominations

As many as 249 candidates filed nominations on Wednesday for the May 16 Assembly polls in Kerala. With this, the total number of nominations filed so far has risen to 629. Palakkad saw the highest number of candidates submitting nominations at 39, while high-range Wayanad saw the lowest at four.

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: As many as 249 candidates filed nominations on Wednesday for the May 16 Assembly polls in Kerala.
With this, the total number of nominations filed so far has risen to 629.
Palakkad saw the highest number of candidates submitting nominations on Wednesday at 39, while high range Wayanad saw the lowest at four.
KK Lalitha and Purushan Kadalundhi of CPI (M), AK Saseendran of NCP and T Siddque and MA Wahid of Congress were among those who submitted papers, Election Commission sources said.
