Kochi: With just three days to go for polls, the two main Fronts, LDF and UDF expressed confidence of winning all the 14 seats in the district.
District Congress president V J Paulose expressed that confidence that the people will vote their MLAs and UDF will back to power. There is no anti-incumbency. "The charges of corruption against the UDF ministers have been made by people who have no credibility like Biju Radhakrishnan, Biju Ramesh and Sarita Nair.
So people don't believe it."
CPM district secretary P Rajeeve said that they expected to win all the 14 seats from their present three seats. "The kind of response that we are getting from the candidates makes us confident of a strong showing in the polls. Keralites are well informed and will not tolerate BJP's religious politics and UDF's five years of corrupt governance."
BJP's district general secretary K S Shyju said that many of the Leftist supporters have shifted loyalty after BDJS was formed. "So the organised planning of the cadre is seen in these members who have been actively campaigning in the district. Earlier, it used to be a fight between the two Fronts. But this time, there will be a strong triangular contest in many constituencies and we could spring a surprise in some of the places," he said.
