PM behaving like an RSS pracharak: Raj Babbar

Guwahati: Congress leader and popular Bollywood actor Raj Babbar on Thursday said if BJP comes to power in Assam, it will be a government that follows the ideology of Nathuram Godse, who had assassinated Mahatama Gandhi.
He said, "I believe the people of Assam will not welcome such a government". Babbar said and added that the Congress party believed in Gandhi's ideology and supported the idea of brotherhood.
He said the people of Assam want peace and prosperity while the youths want jobs.
Babbar attacked Prime Minister Narendra Modi saying the PM was behaving more like an RSS pracharak. "Modi ji is always in election campaign mode and still behave like an RSS pracharak," he said.
He said, "Assam polls will be a full stop for BJP after the saffron party experienced coma in Delhi and Bihar state elections." Babbar was referring to BJP's consecutive electoral defeats in Delhi and Bihar assembly elections.
Targeting Modi's comments against chief minister Tarun Gogoi that he was fighting against 'Garibi' in Assam and not Gogoi, he asked the PM how much had he fought against poverty in his two years in office. "Farmers' suicide continues, there is steep rise in prices of essential commodities. Unemployment has risen. What have the PM done to solve all these problems?" he said.
