Yantra India Limited (YIL) has started the online registration process for Apprentice recruitment 2026 under the Apprentices Act, 1961 and the application process is currently underway. The recruitment drive is being conducted for the 59th batch of apprentices and aims to fill 3,979 posts across Indian Ordnance Factories and Ordnance Equipment Factories located in different states.
The engagement is open to Ex-ITI and Non-ITI candidates and is being conducted as part of the Skill India Mission of the Government of India.
Online applications are being invited from Indian citizens. The detailed advertisement with complete instructions will be issued in February 2026.

Vacancy details
A total of 3,979 apprentice vacancies have been announced:
- Ex-ITI category: 2,843 posts
- Non-ITI category: 1,136 posts
The training will be provided at Indian Ordnance and Ordnance Equipment Factories in different states.
Note: Candidates who have already completed apprenticeship training and hold a National Apprentice Certificate are not eligible to apply.
Educational qualification
For Non-ITI candidates
- Must have passed Madhyamik or Class X or an equivalent examination
- At least 50 per cent marks in aggregate
- Minimum 40 per cent marks each in Mathematics and Science
For Ex-ITI candidates
- Must have completed the relevant Industrial Training Institute (ITI) trade
- The ITI must be from a National Council for Vocational Training (NCVT) or State Council for Vocational Training (SCVT) recognised institute
- At least 50 per cent aggregate marks in both Matric and ITI
Age limit
- Minimum age: 14 years
- Minimum age for hazardous trades: 18 years
- Maximum age: 35 years
Selection process
- Selection will be based on merit
- No written examination will be conducted
- Shortlisted candidates will have to appear for document verification

- Last date to apply: March 3, 2026
