When will JEE Main 2026 result be released? Here's what we know so far
The National Testing Agency (NTA) is expected to release the results for the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2026. Candidates can check their scores on the official portals, jeemain.nta.ac.in or ntaresults.nic.in. Preliminary schedules indicate that Session 1 results may be declared by February 12, while Session 2 results are anticipated by April 20, 2026.
The JEE Main scorecard will furnish the candidates with NTA percentile scores, All India Rank (AIR), and category- and subject-wise performance indicators. The exam is administered in several sessions, and it is challenging in different sessions. NTA employs a normalisation process in order to provide fairness, and therefore, when determining the percentage it is calculated to indicate the relative performance of a candidate against others that are in the same session. Critically, the merit list and rank are based on the percentile rather than the overall uncoded marks.
The percentiles are computed separately on each individual subject, Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, and a total score. Where there are two candidates with equal NTA scores, tie-breaker rules are applicable: on Paper 1, Mathematics, followed by Physics, and lastly Chemistry are applied; on Paper 2, there are tie-breaker rules based on negative responses, and age is an additional criterion that may be used.
To access the JEE Main 2026 result on the official site, the candidates may adhere to the steps explained as follows:
