West Bengal nursing entrance ANM and GNM 2026 registration opens, exam to be held offline
WB ANM GNM 2026: The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB) has commenced the online application process for the ANM(R) and GNM 2026 entrance examination. Candidates seeking admission to nursing diploma courses in the state can submit their forms through the official portal from March 25, 2026.The notification and information bulletin regarding the admission procedure for Auxiliary Nursing & Midwifery (Revised) and General Nursing & Midwifery courses has been released. The entrance test is conducted for admission to ANM and GNM courses offered by government and private institutes of West Bengal. The ANM course is a two-year course, and the GNM course is a three-year course.Application Schedule and Correction WindowThe application window will be active until April 19, 2026. The applicants will be able to make corrections to the details and download the revised confirmation page from April 21 to April 23, 2026. The details such as name, date of birth, parents’ names, and domicile cannot be changed once the application is submitted.The information bulletin was released on March 24, 2026, a day before the beginning of the application window. The applicants should complete the procedure within the scheduled time to avoid technical issues.

Admit Card and Examination DetailsAdmit cards will be available for download from June 4, 2026, and will be available until June 14, 2026, until 01:30 p.m. The examination is scheduled to be conducted on June 14, 2026, in a single shift from 12:00 noon to 01:30 p.m.The examination will be conducted in an offline mode, i.e., OMR sheets will be used for the examination. The examination will consist of two types of questions, i.e., Category 1 will consist of 85 questions, each of one mark, and Category 2 will consist of 15 questions, each of two marks. One-fourth mark will be deducted for each incorrect answer in Category 1.Eligibility Criteria and Application FeeFor ANM courses, only female candidates are eligible, whereas for GNM courses, both male and female candidates are eligible. Candidates should have passed the Class 12 examination with a minimum of 40 per cent aggregate marks from a recognized board. Candidates should also be able to read, write, and express in Bengali and/or Nepali. No upper age limit has been specified for the candidates.Direct link to apply online• Read the official notice hereThe application fee is fixed at Rs. 300 for SC, ST, OBC-A, OBC-B, EWS, and Orphan candidates, whereas the rest of the candidates have to pay Rs. 400 as the application fee. The payment can be made through net banking, debit card, credit card, QR, and UPI.Exam pattern and resultThe exam will be conducted on the subjects of Life Science, Physical Science, Basic English, Mathematics, General Knowledge, and Logical Reasoning, consisting of 100 questions amounting to 115 marks. The result will be announced at a later date, as per the notification by the board.
