UPSSSC ASO, ARO recruitment 2026: Application correction window closes tomorrow for 1,565 posts; direct link here
The Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UPSSSC) will close the application correction and fee payment window tomorrow, May 22, 2026, for the Assistant Statistical Officer (ASO) and Assistant Research Officer (ARO) recruitment examination 2026.
Candidates who have already submitted their applications can make corrections in the form and complete the fee payment process through the official website, which is, upsssc.gov.in.
The commission had earlier extended the registration deadline and also increased the total number of vacancies to 1,565 posts.
According to the revised notification, additional vacancies have been added across multiple departments of the Uttar Pradesh government.
The highest number of posts has been announced under the Economics and Statistics Division of the Planning Department. Additional vacancies have also been included in departments such as:
Candidates applying for the recruitment must hold a postgraduate degree in Mathematics, Mathematical Statistics, Commerce, Economics, or Statistics from a recognised university.
Applicants should also have knowledge of Hindi written in Devanagari script.
In addition, candidates must have qualified the Uttar Pradesh Preliminary Eligibility Test (PET) 2024 to become eligible for the recruitment process.
Preference may also be given to candidates who possess a diploma in computer science or any recognised computer qualification.
As per the official notification, candidates should be between 21 and 40 years of age as on July 1, 2024. Reserved category candidates will be eligible for age relaxation according to Uttar Pradesh government rules.
The recruitment process will include:
Final selection will be based on candidates’ performance in the examination and fulfilment of eligibility conditions mentioned in the official notification.
