The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) is set to close the online registration window soon for the recruitment of Examiner of Trade Marks and Geographical Indications (GI) under the Controller General of Patents, Designs and Trade Marks (CGPDTM), Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), Ministry of Commerce and Industry.
A total of 102 vacancies have been notified, including two posts of Deputy Director (Examination Reforms). Eligible candidates can submit their applications through the UPSC Online Recruitment Application (ORA) portal at upsc.gov.in. The registration process, which began on December 13, 2025, will remain open until January 1, 2026.

Category-wise age relaxation will be applicable as per government norms for Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, Other Backward Classes, Economically Weaker Sections and Persons with Benchmark Disabilities candidates. It includes a Preliminary Examination with objective-type questions, followed by a Main Examination consisting of descriptive written papers. Candidates qualifying the written stages will be called for an Interview or Personality Test to assess professional competence. The final appointment will be subject to Document Verification and Medical Examination.
The basic pay for the post is ₹56,100 per month. The gross monthly salary, including applicable allowances, is expected to range between ₹1,00,000 and ₹1,25,000.
