UP Police Home Guard recruitment 2026: The Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board (UPPRPB) has already declared a mass scale recruitment drive of Home Guard volunteers in Uttar Pradesh. The recruitment exercise will cover 41,424 vacancies of qualified candidates.

The comprehensive announcement of November 18, 2025, establishes a strict timetable, requirements to undergo the selection process, and a multi-phase selection process of aspirants. The online applications have already been received, the final date of submission was December 17, 2025.

UP Police recruitment 2026: Required qualifications

The eligibility of the applicants is 18 years and not exceeding 30 years on July 1, 2025, allowing age relaxations according to the government-laid requirements on the reserved categories. This requires a minimum educational requirement of a Class 10 pass certificate from a recognised board.

The codification of strict disqualifications is the official notification: individuals who have criminal proceedings ongoing, individuals who serve in regular government or semi-government services, individuals who have been dismissed from government service, physically or mentally handicapped people, and those persons who have more than one living spouse will be outright rejected.

UP police recruitment 2026: Selection process

The recruitment model has a multi-level selection procedure:

Written test: An offline written test that has objective questions and determines General Hindi, General Knowledge, Numerical and Mental Ability, and Reasoning.

Physical Standard and Efficiency Tests: Applicants are required to pass physical standard assessments and efficiency as well as timed running along with measurement requirements.

Document Checking and Medical Check: Only individuals that pass through the written and physical examination will go through verification and fitness test examination.
