The Telangana Teacher Eligibility Test (TG TET) 2026 for the January session is one of the most important exams for aspiring teachers in the state. Conducted by the Department of School Education, Telangana, this test decides eligibility for teaching in classes 1 to 8 in government and aided schools. The online application process for the TG TET January 2026 session closed on November 29, 2025. The admit cards have now been released, and candidates can download them from the official website. The exam will be held between January 3 and January 31, 2026.
TG TET consists of two papers: Paper 1 for classes 1–5 and Paper 2 for classes 6–8. The exam will test subjects like child development, pedagogy, language, mathematics, and environmental studies. Candidates must carry the hall ticket to enter the exam centres.

You will need your application number and date of birth to log in. After logging in, the hall ticket will appear on the screen. Candidates should download and print multiple copies for future use. TG TET 2026 exam pattern and syllabus
The TG TET exam is divided into two papers. Each paper has 150 multiple choice questions. The TG TET Paper 1 is for teaching classes 1–5 and covers mathematics, child development and pedagogy, environmental studies, and two languages. To appear for TG TET 2026, candidates must have completed the required teacher education qualification. For Paper 1, candidates need a 10+2 with at least 50% marks plus a D.El.Ed. or B.El.Ed.
