TG LAWCET 2026 notification released: Registration begins tomorrow, check eligibility details
The Telangana Council of Higher Education (TGCHE) has released the detailed notification for TG LAWCET and TG PGLCET 2026. The entrance exam is conducted by Osmania University for admission to 3-year and 5-year LLB courses and LLM programmes in law colleges across Telangana. Online registration will begin on February 10, 2026. Candidates can submit their applications without a late fee until April 1, 2026. The entrance examination will be held on May 18, 2026, in computer-based mode. The official notification includes details on eligibility, application fee, exam pattern, reservation policy, and important dates. Candidates must apply through the official website: lawcet.tgche.ac.in.
The online application process will start on February 10, 2026. Candidates can apply without a late fee until April 1, 2026. After this date, applications will be accepted with a late fee in different slabs until mid-May 2026.
Applicants must fill in personal details, academic qualifications, and select the course they are applying for. They must upload a recent photograph and signature in the prescribed format. The application fee can be paid online through debit card, credit card, or net banking.
A correction window will be provided after the registration period. During this time, candidates can edit specific details in their application form. For the 5-year LLB course, candidates must have passed Class 12 or equivalent from a recognised board. For the 3-year LLB course, candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognised university.
For LLM admission through TG PGLCET, candidates must have completed an LLB degree from a recognised university.
Minimum qualifying marks vary by category as per state norms. Relaxation in marks is provided for reserved categories. There is no upper age limit for appearing in TG LAWCET as per the notification.
Candidates must ensure that they meet all eligibility conditions before applying.
TG LAWCET and TG PGLCET 2026 will be conducted in computer-based mode on May 18, 2026. The question paper will consist of multiple-choice questions.
