RRB JE CBT-I answer key 2026: The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has released the answer key for the first stage Computer Based Test (CBT-I) conducted for Junior Engineer recruitment under Centralised Employment Notice (CEN) 05/2025. Candidates who appeared for the examination can now access the answer key through the official regional RRB websites.
The link for viewing the question papers, responses, and answer keys was activated at 16:00 hrs on March 5 and will remain accessible until 23:59 hrs on March 11. During this period, candidates can review their responses and raise objections regarding the questions, answer options, or answer keys through the online mode.
Examination schedule and answer keyThe CBT-I examination for the posts of Junior Engineer (JE), Depot Material Superintendent (DMS), and Chemical and Metallurgical Assistant (CMA) was conducted on February 19, February 20, and February 25.
Candidates who appeared for the CBT-I can access their question papers, answer keys, and response sheets by visiting the regional websites of the concerned RRB. To check the answer key, candidates need to open the CEN 05/2025 JE answer key link and log in using their credentials.
After successful login, the answer key and response sheet will be displayed.
This recruitment drive aims to fill 2,569 vacancies across different railway zones.
Objection window and payment detailsCandidates who find discrepancies in the questions, answer options, or answer keys can submit objections through the online window within the specified time frame.
The objection fee is Rs 50 per question, along with applicable bank service charges. If an objection raised by a candidate is found to be valid after review by the board, the fee paid for that particular objection will be refunded to the candidate’s account, after deducting applicable bank charges.
Payments for objections can be made through RuPay cards, credit cards, UPI, and net banking.
RRB has advised candidates to submit objections before 23:59 hrs on March 11. Representations submitted after the deadline will not be entertained. The decision taken by RRB on the objections will be final and binding.
Vacancy distribution across zonesAs per CEN 05/2025, the recruitment includes 1,090 posts for the General category, 410 for Scheduled Castes, 210 for Scheduled Tribes, 615 for Other Backward Classes, and 244 for Persons with Disabilities.
Zone-wise, Kolkata has the highest number of vacancies with 628 posts, followed by Mumbai with 434 posts. Prayagraj has 162 vacancies, while Chennai has 160 posts.
Other zones include Ahmedabad with 151 posts, Bilaspur with 127, Ranchi with 109, and Chandigarh with 108. Secunderabad has 103 vacancies, while Guwahati has seven posts and Muzaffarpur has 23 posts.
Candidates who qualify in CBT-I will be eligible to appear for CBT-II, which is the second stage of the recruitment process.
