RBI Assistant recruitment 2026: Edit window to open tomorrow for 650 posts, check details here
The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) will open the edit window for Assistant recruitment 2026 tomorrow, March 14, 2026. According to an official notice issued by the Reserve Bank of India, the edit window for modifying application forms will remain active from March 14, 2026 (00:01 hours) to March 15, 2026 (23:59 hours). During this two-day period, candidates who have already completed their application process will be able to revise specific details before the recruitment process moves ahead. The prelims exam will be conducted on April 11 and the Mains exam will be conducted on June 7, 2026.
The RBI Assistant recruitment drive aims to fill 650 Assistant positions across multiple regional offices of the central bank. Vacancies are spread across centres including Mumbai, Chennai, New Delhi, Kanpur & Lucknow, Guwahati, Kolkata, and Bhopal, with Mumbai accounting for the highest number of openings.
The online application process began on February 16, 2026, and the registration window closed on March 10 after a brief extension granted by the central bank.
The RBI has clarified that the correction facility will be available only to those candidates who successfully submitted their online application form along with the required application fee within the registration period.
Eligible candidates will be able to access the edit link through the official RBI website and resubmit their forms after making the necessary corrections. However, the bank has placed strict limits on what information can be modified during this window.
Candidates who wish to update their details will have to pay a correction fee of ₹200, inclusive of GST. The fee will be the same for all categories and will not be refunded or adjusted under any circumstances, the RBI said.
The bank also stated that only the latest modified application will be considered valid, provided the correction fee has been successfully paid.
Candidates submitting multiple applications have been advised to edit only the most recent application to avoid confusion in the recruitment process.
