PSSSB Excise Inspector recruitment 2026: The Punjab Subordinate Services Selection Board (PSSSB) has started the online registration process for the recruitment of Excise and Taxation Inspector posts. A total of 197 vacancies have been announced for this recruitment drive.

PSSSB Excise and Taxation Inspector vacancy details
Eligibility criteria
Educational qualification:
- Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree from a recognised university
- Must have passed matriculation with Punjabi as a subject
- Should have completed a 120-hour computer course with practical training in office applications or possess a Department of Electronics Accreditation of Computer Courses (DOEACC) ‘O’ level certificate
Age limit:
- Minimum age: 18 years
- Maximum age (general category): 37 years
- Age relaxation is applicable for reserved categories as per government norms
Selection process and exam pattern
The selection process consists of:
- Written examination
- Typing test
- There will be no interview.

- Total marks: 100
- Mode: Offline
- Duration: 2 hours
- Negative marking: 0.25 marks for each wrong answer

- Mental Ability and Arithmetic

- Language Proficiency (Punjabi and English)
