PSEB Class 12 Result 2026: Girls secure top spots, outshine boys in Punjab Board exam
The Punjab School Education Board has declared the Class 12 results for 2026 today, with the overall pass percentage standing at 91.46 per cent. The results continue the board’s consistent trend of maintaining a pass rate above the 90 per cent mark over the last few years.
Once again, girls have outperformed boys in the Punjab Board Class 12 examinations, continuing a long-standing pattern. This year, girls recorded a pass percentage of 94.73 per cent, while boys stood at 88.52 per cent. The gap of over six percentage points highlights the continued stronger performance of girl students.
In addition to better pass percentages, girls have also performed strongly in the toppers’ list this year, securing top positions across streams.
In the Science stream, Surpreet Kaur secured a full 500/500, while in Humanities, Suhani Chauhan and Divyanshi also achieved 100 per cent marks, each scoring 500/500.
Their presence in merit rankings further underlines their academic dominance in the 2026 results, extending a trend that has been visible in previous years as well.
