NTA opens NEET UG 2026 re-exam correction window to modify address, select choice of cities for June 21 exam
NEET UG 2026: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced that the re-examination for the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test Undergraduate (NEET UG) 2026 will be conducted on June 21, 2026. The agency released the public notice on May 15 following its earlier press release dated May 12.
According to the official notification, the re-exam is being conducted under the directions of the National Medical Commission (NMC) to facilitate medical course admissions in medical institutions across India.
The examination will be held in Pen and Paper mode in various cities across the country as well as abroad. Candidates will be allowed to appear for the exam in 13 languages including Assamese, Bengali, English, Gujarati, Hindi, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu and Urdu.
As per the notice, the NEET UG 2026 re-exam will be conducted from 2 PM to 5:15 PM (Indian Standard Time), including the time allotted for examination formalities.
The testing agency has also provided candidates with an opportunity to update their present address and preferred examination city. This facility has been introduced for students who may want to change their examination city due to a change in their current residence.
Candidates can make the required changes by visiting the official NEET website from May 15 to May 21, 2026, till 11:50 PM.
However, the NTA clarified that only the present address and choice of examination city can be modified. No other correction in the application particulars will be allowed during this period.
The agency further stated that candidates who do not use this facility within the given timeline will retain their previously selected examination city, and no requests for changes will be entertained afterwards.
The NTA said that information regarding the city intimation slip and admit card download will be announced later on the official website. The examination centre details will be mentioned on the admit card issued to candidates.
The agency also informed candidates that details regarding the display of recorded responses, answer keys and declaration of results will be notified separately in due course.
