MPESB recruitment 2026: Registration window closes soon for 1,679 Forest Guard, Jail Prahari posts; direct link to apply here
The Madhya Pradesh Employees Selection Board (MPESB), Bhopal, will soon close the registration process for the Forest Guard, Field Guard, Jail Prahari and Assistant Jail Superintendent recruitment examination 2026. Candidates who have not yet applied are advised to complete their applications without delay.
The recruitment drive is being conducted to fill posts in the Forest Department and the Jail Department of the Madhya Pradesh Government. Interested and eligible candidates can submit their application forms online through the official websites, esb.mp.gov.in and esb.mponline.gov.in.
The official notification was released on February 27, 2026. The online application process began on February 28, 2026. The last date to submit the application form is March 14, 2026.
Candidates will be allowed to make corrections in their submitted forms until March 19, 2026. The computer-based examination is scheduled to begin from April 07, 2026.
A total of 1,679 vacancies have been announced under this recruitment drive. The post-wise details are as follows:
Candidates must have passed Class 10 to apply for Forest Guard, Field Guard and Jail Prahari posts. For Assistant Jail Superintendent, a graduate degree from a recognised university is required.
The age will be calculated as on January 01, 2026. Upper age relaxation will be given as per government rules.
The fee must be paid in online mode only.
The selection process will include a written examination followed by a skill test. Candidates who qualify will be called for document verification and a medical examination before final appointment.
Applicants are advised to carefully read the official notification and complete the registration process before the deadline to avoid last-minute issues.

- Forest Guard (Van Rakshak): 728 posts
- Field Guard (Kshetra Rakshak): 169 posts
- Jail Prahari (Warder): 757 posts
- Assistant Jail Superintendent: 25 posts
Candidates must have passed Class 10 to apply for Forest Guard, Field Guard and Jail Prahari posts. For Assistant Jail Superintendent, a graduate degree from a recognised university is required.
Age limit
- For Forest Guard, Field Guard and Jail Prahari posts, candidates must be between 18 and 33 years of age.
- For Assistant Jail Superintendent, the age limit is 21 to 33 years.
The age will be calculated as on January 01, 2026. Upper age relaxation will be given as per government rules.
Application fee
- The application fee is Rs 500 for candidates belonging to General, Other Backward Classes (OBC) and Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) categories.
- Candidates from Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), female, Physically Handicapped (PH) and Persons with Disabilities (PWD) categories are required to pay Rs 250.
