The Madhya Pradesh Employees Selection Board (MPESB) has postponed the second shift of the Forest Guard, Field Guard, Jail Prahari and Assistant Jail Superintendent Combined recruitment examination 2026 that was scheduled to be held on June 7.
According to the board, the examination could not be conducted due to a technical issue. The affected candidates will now appear for the examination on June 20, 2026, in the first shift from 10 AM to 12 Noon.
Candidates will be required to download a fresh admit card from the official website, esb.mp.gov.in, before appearing for the rescheduled examination.
New exam date announced
MPESB has clarified that only the second shift examination held on June 7 was affected by the technical problem. The first shift examination was conducted successfully as scheduled.
The rescheduled examination for affected candidates will now be held on:

Fresh admit card required
Candidates whose examination was postponed will have to download a new admit card through the official MPESB website using their login credentials.
They must carry:
- Fresh MPESB admit card
- Original photo identity proof
- Other documents, if required by the board
Candidates without valid documents may not be allowed to enter the examination centre.
The recruitment examination is being conducted to fill a total of 1,111 vacancies for various posts, including:
- Forest Guard
- Field Guard
- Jail Prahari
- Assistant Jail Superintendent
The examination process began on June 4 and is scheduled to continue till June 19 for other candidates.
Candidates face inconvenience
According to reports, hundreds of candidates had reached examination centres, including those in Satna district, to appear for the second shift examination.
However, due to a server-related issue, the examination could not begin. Candidates reportedly had to wait for several hours before being informed about the postponement.
Following the cancellation, several candidates expressed disappointment and raised concerns over the inconvenience caused, especially those who had travelled long distances to reach the examination centres.
MPESB has advised affected candidates to regularly visit the official website for updates regarding admit cards and examination-related instructions.
