MCL Foreman, Technician recruitment 2026: Notification released for 500 posts; registration begins on this date
Mahanadi Coalfields Limited (MCL), a subsidiary of Coal India Limited (CIL), has released an official notification inviting applications for Foreman and Technician posts. A total of 500 vacancies have been announced, and the application process will be conducted online.
The registration process will begin on May 7, 2026, and interested candidates can apply through the official website within the given deadline.

- Technician (Electrician) Trainee – 350 posts

Eligibility criteria
According to the official notification, following is the required educational qualification:
Assistant Foreman (Electrical):
- Diploma in Electrical Engineering or Degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).
- Passed Matriculation (Class 10)
- Industrial Training Institute (ITI) in Electrician trade
- Minimum one year of training or work experience
- Valid permit under Indian Electricity Rules
Age limit
- Minimum age: 18 years
- Maximum age: 30 years (as on May 28, 2026)
Age relaxation will be provided to reserved categories as per government rules.
Selection process
The selection will be done through a Computer Based Test (CBT) only. There will be:
- Objective-type questions
- No negative marking
- Two sections: General Awareness/Aptitude and Technical Knowledge
Candidates who qualify in the CBT will be called for document verification.
Application fee
- ₹1000 + GST (total ₹1180 approx.) for General, Other Backward Classes (OBC) and Economically Weaker Section (EWS) candidates
- No fee for Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD), Ex-servicemen and female candidates

- Register using a valid email ID and mobile number
