KEA to begin PGCET 2026 registration on this date: Check steps to apply, exam schedule here
The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) will begin the registration process for the Post Graduate Common Entrance Test (PGCET) 2026 from May 1. Interested candidates can apply online through the official website once the link is activated.
The Karnataka PGCET 2026 is held for admission to postgraduate courses such as Master of Business Administration (MBA), Master of Computer Applications (MCA), Master of Engineering (ME), Master of Technology (MTech) and Master of Architecture (MArch) in colleges across Karnataka.
Both Karnataka and non-Karnataka candidates can apply for the exam. However, non-Karnataka candidates will be eligible only for admission under management quota seats.
Candidates must have completed their undergraduate degree from a recognised university to be eligible.
According to the official schedule:
All papers will have 100 questions and will be conducted in offline mode. The question paper will be in multiple choice format.
Candidates can follow these simple steps:
Only candidates with a valid GATE (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering) score can directly apply for ME/MTech/MArch admissions. Others must appear for PGCET.
For part-time courses, applicants must have at least three years of work experience. Candidates must read the eligibility rules carefully before applying.

According to the official schedule:
- May 1, 2026: Application process begins
- May 23, 2026 (Saturday):
- ME/MTech/MArch exams
- Morning shift: 10:30 am to 12:30 pm
- Afternoon shift: 2:30 pm to 4:30 pm
- May 24, 2026 (Sunday):
- MCA: 10:30 am to 12:30 pm
- MBA: 2:30 pm to 4:30 pm
