Important dates for JoSAA counselling 2026

The Round 2 seat allotment result is scheduled to be declared on June 20. The entire counselling process will be conducted in six rounds.
How does the JoSAA admission process work?
The counselling process includes several stages. First, candidates must register and fill in their preferred colleges and courses in order of priority.
Based on the choices submitted and the candidate's rank, seat allotment results will be announced. Candidates who receive a seat must accept the allotment online and pay the required seat acceptance fee.
After accepting the seat, candidates will have to complete online reporting by uploading the necessary documents. The final admission process will be completed after verification and payment of the institute fee for the 2026–27 academic session.
Candidates are advised to carefully fill and lock their choices before the deadline, as seat allotment will be based on the preferences submitted during the counselling process.
