on Monday celebrated the
Constitution Day to commemorate the 125th birth anniversary of B R Ambedkar, father of the Constitution. It was organised in the institute according to the directives of the
Ministry of Human Resource Development
(
MHRD
).
K V Ramana Chary
, director of
IISER Berhampur
, who attended the meeting as a chief guest, called upon the students to get guided by spirit of the Constitution while aiming at holistic education.
"Even the framers of the constitution have consciously incorporated the ideology of development of scientific temper as part of the fundamental duties. It shows that law of land has also recognizes scientific endeavors as the basis of governance," said Ramana Chary.
Sashikanta Mishra
, state law secretary, who attended as a guest of honour, said Right to Life and Right to Justice are two main pillars of the constitutional thought.
