IISER IAT 2026 registration ends today: Check direct link, how to apply before deadline
IISER IAT 2026 registration: The Indian Institutes of Science Education and Research will close the registration process for the IISER Aptitude Test (IAT) 2026 today, April 13, 2026. Candidates who have not yet applied can complete the registration through the official website at IISER Admissions Portal iiseradmission.in before the deadline.
The IISER IAT 2026 exam is scheduled to be held on June 7, 2026. The test will be conducted in a single shift from 9 am to 12 noon across multiple centres in India.
The IISER Aptitude Test (IAT) 2026 will be conducted as a computer-based test. The exam will include a total of 60 questions, with 15 questions each from Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Physics.
Candidates will get 180 minutes to complete the exam. All questions will be multiple-choice type with only one correct answer. The total marks will be calculated out of 240, and these marks will be used to prepare the IAT 2026 rank list.
Officials have also clarified that not every candidate who appears for the exam will receive a rank. The rank cut-off will be announced later. In addition, getting a rank does not guarantee admission to IISER.

For General, Economically Weaker Section (EWS), Other Backward Classes (OBC), and OBC Non-Creamy Layer (OBC-NCL) candidates, the fee is ₹2000. For Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Persons with Disabilities (PwD), Kashmiri Migrants (KM), Kashmiri Pandit/Kashmiri Hindu Families (Non-Migrants) living in Kashmir Valley it is ₹1000. And for Foreign Nationals it is ₹12000.
