IIM-A concluded its summer placement process for the PGP-MBA Class of 2024 of the Post Graduate
Programme (PGP) in Management in November 2022 in hybrid mode with resounding success, witnessing active participation from various programs and leading recruitment agencies.

According to the IIM Ahmedabad PGP Final Placement Report 2022, the Consulting sector took the lead as the most desired, providing 204 job opportunities, followed by the BFSI (Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance), FMCG (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods), and Engineering/Technology sectors. Within the various functions, Consulting stood out with 213 offers, accompanied by significant opportunities in Product/Category Management, Finance, Marketing/Sales, and General Management. Key recruiters such as Amazon, Microsoft, and Extramarks played an important role in offering a wide range of positions to the students.

In the placement process for 2022 PGP at IIM-A, a total of 382 students received job offers from 190 firms with around 220 different roles. The placement process consisted of two stages, namely the lateral process and the final placements, with 59% of the batch being eligible for lateral placements.

The highest CTC offered at IIM Ahmedabad, was Rs 61,48,640, while the international median and mean CTC reached USD 51,05,096 and USD 1,08,405, respectively. In the Management Consulting cohort, Boston Consulting Group secured the top spot as the leading recruiter, offering 22 positions. Following closely were other prominent recruiters like Bain & Company, McKinsey, and Kearney.
