“I want to become a doctor” says daughter of mason Nasreen Parveen who secures fifth position in Bihar Board 10th result 2026

When Nasreen Parveen’s results were announced, she couldn’t stop smiling. The Class 10 student from Arrah had scored an impressive 486 out of 500 (97.2%) in the Bihar School Examination Board Matriculation results 2026, placing her among the top five in the state. But what’s remarkable is that Nasreen’s father is a mason and they have struggled to make ends meet.

“I feel wonderful. First and foremost, I would like to give full credit for my success to my family. Additionally, I would also like to attribute full credit to my self-study and self-education. I used to study for 8–9 hours every day. I received immense support from my family,” Nasreen told IANS.

Hard work beats all odds
For Nasreen, success was not an easy thing to achieve. With her father working hard as a mason to support the family, she devoted herself to self-study, dedicating 8-9 hours a day to her studies. This proves that students can achieve academic success at the highest level with sheer determination and support from their families, even in small towns like Ara.

A dream in medicine
Nasreen’s achievements do not stop here. She wants to become a doctor in the near future. “I want to pursue Biology in Class 12 and give the NEET UG exam,” she revealed in an interview. This proves that this young girl is not only determined but also focused on pursuing a successful career in medicine.

Girls continue to shine
The results of Class 10 students in Bihar this year have confirmed a growing trend: girls are outperforming their male counterparts in academic achievements. Two girls topped in the state with 492 marks (98.4%), while the pass percentage was 81.79%. Female participation in exams also increased by 15% over the last five years.
