The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) is expected to release the Graduate Aptitude Test (GATE) admit cards on the official website. The forenoon session timings are from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM, and the afternoon session timings are from 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM. The examination consists of 30 test papers, and candidates may appear for either one or two papers, subject to their eligibility and preference.

GATE exam pattern 2026: Check details

The GATE 2026 exam will be held for 30 papers, including core engineering subjects, science, and interdisciplinary papers. Questions in each paper will be of three types, Multiple, choice questions (MCQs), Multiple Select Questions (MSQs), and Numerical Answer Type (NAT) questions. The GATE exam duration is 3 hours per session, and the mark allocation for each question will be as indicated in the paper scheme.
