DRDO RAC Scientist Recruitment 2026 Notification: Application open for Scientist C, D and E posts- here's how to register
Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), through its Recruitment and Assessment Centre (RAC), has released a notification for Scientist C, D and E posts.
The recruitment is being carried out under Advertisement No. 157. A total of 33 vacancies will be filled through this drive. The online registration process has already started and candidates can apply through the official website. The last date to submit the application is 19 June 2026 till 4 pm.
The recruitment covers three scientist levels with different pay scales under the 7th Central Pay Commission. Scientist ‘C’ posts are in Pay Level-11 with a basic pay of Rs 67,700. Scientist ‘D’ posts fall under Pay Level-12 with Rs 78,800. Scientist ‘E’ posts are in Pay Level-13 with a basic pay of Rs 1,23,100.
Candidates applying for these posts must have a relevant degree in fields such as Electronics, Computer Science, Mechanical, Aerospace, Chemical Engineering or Physics/Mathematics. A minimum of first division or 60 per cent marks is required.
The notification also mentions work experience requirements. Scientist ‘C’ requires at least 3 years of relevant experience, Scientist ‘D’ needs 7 years, and Scientist ‘E’ requires a minimum of 11 years of post-qualification experience.
Step 1: Visit the official website rac.gov.in and register using a valid email ID and mobile number
Step 2: Log in to your account and select Advertisement No. 157.
Step 3: Fill in all required details
Step 4: Upload the necessary documents
Step 5: Pay the application fee of Rs 100 online, if applicable. SC, ST, PwD and women candidates are exempted from paying the fee.
