Anna University has extended the registration deadline for the Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test (TANCET) 2026 and Common Engineering Entrance Test and Admission – Postgraduate (CEETA-PG) 2026. Eligible candidates can now apply for both entrance exams till April 15, 2026 through the official website tancet.annauniv.edu.
Candidates who have not yet applied are advised to complete their registration before the last date to avoid any last-minute issues.

TANCET, CEETA-PG 2026 exam dates
- TANCET 2026 (MBA): May 9, 2026 (10 am to 12 noon)
- TANCET 2026 (MCA): May 9, 2026 (2:30 pm to 4:30 pm)
- CEETA-PG 2026: May 10, 2026 (10 am to 12 noon)
TANCET is conducted for admission to MBA and MCA programmes, while CEETA-PG is held for admission to ME, MTech, MArch and MPlanning courses.
Application fee
- Rs 500 for candidates belonging to Tamil Nadu SC, SCA and ST categories
- Rs 1,000 for all other candidates
TANCET 2026 eligibility criteria
Candidates applying for TANCET 2026 must meet the following requirements:
- Must have completed at least 3 years of education with minimum 50% marks
- Reserved category candidates will get 5% relaxation
- Candidates must follow one of these education patterns:
- 10 + 2 + 3 or 4 years
- 10 + 3 diploma + 3 years
- BE / BTech / BArch / BPharm
- 10 + 2 + AMIE
- 10 + 3 diploma + AMIE
CEETA-PG 2026 eligibility criteria
Candidates applying for CEETA-PG 2026 must:
- Have a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field with 50% marks
- Reserved category candidates require 45% marks
- Candidates with 10+2 / 10+3 + AMIE and two years of experience can apply
- GATE-qualified candidates and final-year students are also eligible
- Candidates with BTech through distance or weekend mode are not eligible
