The Admission Committee for Professional Undergraduate & Postgraduate Medical Educational Courses (ACPUGMEC and ACPPGMEC) on Thursday announced the schedule for admissions in postgraduate medical courses for state quota seats.

As per rules, 15% of all UG medical seats and 50% of seats in PG courses in the state are reserved for the all India quota students. The remaining seats are state quota seats which are further divided as government, management and NRI quota seats.

As per the schedule the registrations of students who have cleared the Postgraduate National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (PG NEET) started on September 15 and will end on September 21 at 6 pm. Students will have to visit help centers between September 16 to September 22 to verify their applications and their documents. There are 17 help centers set up at various medical colleges in the state.

Students will have to pay Rs 25,000 as the processing fees through demand drafts.

Earlier, the union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare had announced that the registration for admissions into PG medical will begin from September 1 but later had deferred the date of admission registrations.

The ministry has deferred the date saying that the college inspections in many colleges are pending and it is likely to be completed only by September 15.

As per sources, total 74 seats have been added this year including 59 seats in AMC’s MET Medical College, now renamed as Narendra Modi Medical College. There are a total 2,179 PG medical seats in the state.
