Along with the provisional answer key, CBSE will also open the objection window, allowing candidates to challenge any answer they believe is incorrect. The board will specify a limited time period during which objections can be submitted. Candidates must note that each objection will require a fee of Rs 1,000 per question. If the objection raised is found to be valid after review, the fee will be refunded to the candidate.
The final CTET 2026 answer key will be prepared after carefully examining all objections received during the challenge window. CBSE will revise the provisional answers wherever required and publish the final answer key accordingly. The CTET result will be prepared based on this final answer key.
As per the official marking scheme, candidates will be awarded one mark for each correct response. There is no negative marking in the Central Teacher Eligibility Test, which means no marks will be deducted for incorrect answers. This allows candidates to estimate their scores without the risk of penalties.
CBSE conducted CTET 2026 for candidates seeking teaching opportunities in Kendriya Vidyalayas, Navodaya Vidyalayas, other central government schools, as well as private schools. The eligibility certificate is applicable for teaching positions from Classes 1 to 8.
The CTET 2026 examination was held on February 7 and February 8 at centres across the country. Paper 1 was conducted for candidates aiming to teach Classes 1 to 5, while Paper 2 was held for those aspiring to teach Classes 6 to 8. The examination was conducted in two shifts each day. The forenoon shift was held from 9:30 am to 12 noon, while the afternoon shift took place from 2:30 pm to 5 pm.
Once the answer key is released, candidates will also be able to access their response sheets to match their marked answers with the official solutions. This will help them calculate their probable scores before the official result declaration.
Candidates are advised to regularly check ctet.nic.in for the latest updates related to the CTET 2026 answer key, objection window, and further announcements.
