The Mann School hosted the P.S. Paul Memorial English Fortnight recently, honouring its former Head of English Department, P.S. Paul. The two-week event combined creative writing, debates and declamations with interactive classroom activities to promote language learning in engaging formats.
Over 150 students from Classes K–12 took part in inter-house competitions ranging from debates on “Boarding schools versus day schools” to reflections on the “Power of a Positive Mindset.” Posters highlighting the school’s Finishing School curriculum and activities such as Just a Minute, Role Play and Chinese Whisper added to the vibrancy.
Student Council members played a key role in organising the event, managing compering, presentations, hospitality, and overall execution. The English Fortnight, now an annual feature, continues to serve as both a celebration of literature and a training ground for collaboration, creativity and leadership skills.
