Demonetisation: Income Tax department sent out 3,000 notices after note ban, and other developments
The Central Board of Direct Taxes revealed today that the Income Tax department has sent upto 3,000 notices on the basis of bank deposits after the currency ban was announced last month. Meanwhile, the government asked citizens to make use of a tax disclosure scheme that opens tomorrow to disclose their black money, and shared an e-mail ID to which citizens can mail information about black money hoarders.
