Vice chief of naval staff arrives in city

VISAKHAPATNAM: Vice chief of naval staff Vice Admiral P Murugesan held discussions with the Eastern Naval Command chief Vice Admiral Satish Soni here at the naval base on Friday. He interacted with naval personnel, including defence civilians, and participated in a health run organised by the eastern fleet. Later, Vice Admiral Murugesan will also be visiting all major naval establishments in Visakhapatnam.
The vice chief of naval staff accompanied by his wife Medha Murugesan, who is also the president of the Naval Wives Welfare Association (Central Region), arrived in Visakhapatnam on Thursday on a four-day visit to the ENC. Medha Murugesan interacted with members of NWWA eastern region.
Vice Admiral Murugesan, who is on his maiden visit to ENC after taking over as vice chief of naval staff, and his wife are scheduled to depart from Visakhapatnam on Sunday.
