Two youth drown at Revupolavaram beach

VISAKHAPATNAM: A

leisure trip turned tragic

for two families after

two youth went missing

while

swimming at Revupolavaram beach

under S Rayavaram police limits in the district on Sunday.

The victims have been identified as Prem Singh (22) and Yakub Khan (21). The cops have launched a search operation with the help of local fishermen.

According to sources, two families from Darlapudi went to the beach to enjoy the day and four youth from both the families went for a swim.

However, they were caught in a strong current which pulled Prem and Yakub deep into the sea off the coast while the two others swam to safety.

S Rayavaram sub-inspector S Arun Kumar said cops suspect that the

two youth have drowned
