Two drown as boat capsizes in Sileru

Visakhapatnam: Two persons died when a country boat capsized in Sileru river near Sindhuguda of Andhra-Odisha border on Wednesday evening.The deceased were identified as Sajith Kindinga and Balaram Kindinga.A group of five people from Dindiguda village in Malkangiri district of Odisha attended a marriage ceremony at Padalput village of Andhra Pradesh on Wednesday. On their way home, the country boat that was ferrying them, sunk due to overloading and strong winds.Fire service personnel managed to rescue three people in the boat. The rescue teams retrieved the two bodies on Thursday. A case has been registered and the bodies were shifted for postmortem.A few weeks ago, two women died when a tourist boat carrying 14 persons capsized at Owk reservoir in Nandyal district.
