Special packages for Araku Utsav

VISAKHAPATNAM: The Andhra Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation will soon announce special packages for tourists visiting Visakhapatnam district, said collector Dr N Yuvaraj. These packages will be available to the tourists who visit Araku Utsav 2015, which will be held from November 13 to 15.
All the tourist spots in the Agency and plain areas in the district will be developed.He said Rs 2 crore will be spent from the local tourism development funds available with the district administration.
Araku Utsav will be conducted on a grand note with the special component funds of Rs 25 lakh, he said. Also, food courts, cultural programmes and exhibitions will be organised as part of the three-day festival at Araku. A cultural carnival will mark the inaugural ceremony of the event.
The district collector instructed the ITDA officials to restore the swimming pool and toy train at Padamapuram Gardens. He also directed officials to widen the road at Borra Caves for parking of more vehicles. Dust bins will be arranged at all tourist spots by local panchayats.
