Visakhapatnam: K Karan Shinde scored his third century on the trot (111, 108b, 4x9, 6x3) but Kurnool lost to Chittoor by 42 runs in the ACA South zone senior men one-dayers tournament at the YSRR-ACA stadium in Kadapa on Thursday.

Opener K Nikhileshwar Reddy hit a century (157, 237b, 4x24, 6x3) in the second innings as South Zone drew against Central Zone after gaining first innings lead in the ACA under-19 inter-zone tournament round-robin league match at the PVG Raju sports complex, Vizianagaram.
Brief scores: South Zone 268 and 307/5 in 87 overs (K Nikhileshwar Reddy 157, K Revanth Reddy 59) drew with Central Zone 173.
LBC student wins medal
G Sravani, a BA first year student of the Dr. L Bullayya College, has won the 65 kg category silver in the sixth Andhra Pradesh State wrestling championships held at Naidupeta (Tirupati district) on August 21 and 22.
