Robot machine for surgeries launched

VISAKHAPATNAM: India's first state-of-the-art advanced 4th Gen - DaVinci robot machine for world-class robotic procedures was inaugurated by Seer of Sri Saradapeetham Swamy Swaroopananda. This advanced machine will intend to revolutionize surgical procedures. With the help of this robot, surgeons have the opportunity to successfully perform surgery with the smallest incision. It also brings great benefits to the patients. Fourth Gen – With the help of the DaVinci robot, surgeries can be performed precisely even in the smallest sections and spaces. Hyderabad had one robot of this kind and now in Vizag.

Speaking on this occasion, the chairman and managing director of the hospital Dr. Anil Krishna said that this latest addition will revolutionize surgical procedures, allowing access to smaller spaces, such as the thoracic cavity along with the pelvis, with smaller incisions. This allows the patient to recover faster.

Dr A Sarath Reddy said that all departments all general and gynecology, urology procedures like hysterectomy pelvic lymph node dissections, pyeloplasty and augmentation procedure, kidney cancers partial and Radical nephrectomy, rectal and colon cancers, intersphincteric resection, permanent colostomy and lung surgery where open surgeries cannot be done with minimal incisions can be performed by this advanced robot.
