Medico jumps from eighth floor of flat complex, dies in Visakhapatnam

VISAKHAPATNAM: A second-year medical student of a private medical college in city committed suicide on Monday.

He jumped from the eighth floor of an apartment complex in Yendada and died on the spot. Arilova police said the deceased was Gogineni Raviteja. Cops said CCTV footage showed the youngster jumping off from the top floor.

The first-year results of his MBBS course were declared recently and Raviteja was upset over his low scores. He had been remaining low-key since the results were out, and finally took the extreme decision. A case has been registered and the body was sent for post-mortem.
