Ganta Srinivasa Rao, nine others file nominations on first day

VISAKHAPATNAM: Ten nominations, including three for the Visakhapatnam Lok Sabha Constituency, were filed by candidates of different parties in the district on Thursday. The former TDP minister and sitting MLA of Visakha North, Ganta Srinivasa Rao, filed his nomination in the Bheemili Assembly Constituency, and his son also filed two sets of nominations on behalf of TDP for the same seat. Meanwhile, Prajasanthi Party president KA Paul filed his nomination for the Visakhapatnam Lok Sabha constituency.

The Election Officer and district collector, Dr. A Mallikharjuna, informed that an independent candidate, Vaddi Hari Ganesh, filed the first nomination for the Visakhapatnam LS seat, while KA Paul and Polamarasetti Satyavathi of the Pyramid Party of India filed nominations.

The election officers received seven nominations for four assembly constituencies in the Visakhapatnam district, including two sets each by Ganta Srinivasa Rao and his son Ravi Teja for Bheemili, Chintada Suryam of the Nava Bharat Nirman Seva Party, and Jateeya Janasena Party candidate P Jagadeesh for Visakha North seat. Palli Srinivasa Rao of the Jateeya Janasena Party and Pyramid Party of India candidate P Satyanarayana Murthy filed nominations for the Gajuwaka constituency, while the Bahujan Samaj Party candidate, Bangari Ramana, filed nominations for the Pendurthi seat.
