Speaking to TOI, district collector J Nivas said that the lowering of positivity rate was

possible

through collective efforts of the general public and officials. “However, we have to continue being careful and maintain our response till the pandemic vanishes completely,” Nivas added.

P Jaganmohan Rao, district president of

Indian Red Cross Society

said that bringing about awareness among 28 lakh people in a district with low literacy rate was a herculean task and the district administration has made all possible efforts to bring the pandemic under control.
