on Thursday night. The incident came to light on Friday when the victim's family members lodged a complaint with the Gajuwaka police in the wee hours of Friday.

Gowrishankar, and his friend
Manikanta, have been arrested while the victim sent to King George Hospital for a medical examination.
According to sources, the victim had come from Hyderabad to visit her relatives in Gajuwaka a couple of weeks ago. Inspector T

said Gowrishankar had been stalking the girl for the past two weeks. The girl had gone to the Ganesh pandal in her locality on Thursday night where Gowrishankar met her and took her to an isolated place close to Zinc Ground. He raped the victim while his friend Manikanta stood guard to ensure nobody entered the area.
After returning home, the girl informed her parents about the incident, following which they approached the police. Based on the complaint, the police registered cases under SC and ST Atrocities Act and POSCO Act.
